There is an Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at the William Harvey Hospital site which has been set up to deal with minor illnesses (out of hours) and minor injuries. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including bank holidays.
Appointments for the following minor illnesses (out of hours) and minor injuries will be dealt with at the UTC and appointments should be booked by calling 111
The service will deal with:
Strains and sprains
Skin infections and rashes
Eye problems
Coughs and colds
Feverish illness in adult’s
Feverish illness in children
Abdominal pain
Vomiting and diarrhoea
Emergency contraception
Suspected broken limbs
Minor head injuries
Cuts and grazes
Bites and stings
Minor scalds and burns
Ear and throat infections
